Amelia Kearney, Founder & Principal Designer
Founder Amelia Kearney brings over a decade of experience in residential and boutique commercial design. Born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, Amelia moved to Charleston to attend the College of Charleston, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Studio Art. She later went on to receive a Master of Interior Architecture in Boston a background that allows her to collaborate closely with architects and builders from the earliest stages of a project.
Whenever possible, Amelia prefers to join a project during the initial planning and design phase, working alongside the architect to help shape the overall vision, floor plan, architectural details, and functionality of the home. She believes the strongest projects are born from early collaboration, ensuring that the architecture and interiors feel seamlessly connected from the very beginning.
With a strong foundation in both design and construction, Amelia guides each project from concept through completion with a thoughtful, highly organized approach. Her work is defined by a balance of beauty and function, creating spaces that are not only visually compelling but deeply personal, refined, and timeless.
Known for her ability to blend architectural integrity with layered, livable interiors, Amelia believes the most successful homes tell the story of the people who live within them. Through close collaboration and meticulous attention to detail, she creates environments that feel collected, intentional, and uniquely tailored to each client. Since founding Amelia Interiors in 2021, she has built a reputation for creating homes that feel both elevated and approachable, balancing classic design principles with the way modern families live today. Her work reflects a deep appreciation for Southern architecture, thoughtful craftsmanship, and interiors designed to be enjoyed.
Hannah Koorbusch, Director of Operations
Hannah, Director of Operations, joined Amelia Interiors in 2022 as the firm’s first employee, bringing a unique blend of operational expertise and creative ambition to the team. With a background in corporate operations and management, Hannah has played an integral role in shaping the organizational structure and business systems that support Amelia Interiors’ thoughtful, full-service approach to design.
A graduate of the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business, Hannah earned her degree in Marketing in 2017 before beginning her career in New York and Los Angeles within the media industry. After four years in the corporate world, she chose to pursue her longstanding passion for interiors, returning to school to study at the New York School of Interior Design.
Relocating to Charleston in 2021 further solidified Hannah’s passion for design and desire to work in a creative field. At Amelia Interiors, she has found the ideal intersection of structure and creativity, bringing lasting organization and operational excellence to a growing design firm while contributing to the thoughtful execution of the projects Amelia Interiors is known for.
Drew Harrell, Design Assistant
Drew Harrell, Design Assistant, brings a thoughtful eye for interiors and a strong sense of organization to Amelia Interiors. Originally from Hilton Head, South Carolina, Drew moved to Charleston to attend the College of Charleston, where she earned her degree in Business Administration in 2025.
Drew began working for Palmetta, the retail extension of Amelia Interiors, while attending the College of Charleston. Her role at Palmetta naturally evolved into a position with the Amelia Interiors design team, where she now supports a wide range of design and project-related responsibilities. Working alongside the Amelia Interiors team has allowed her to learn from a talented group of designers while further developing her understanding of the thoughtful process behind each project.
With a background in business and a creative interest in design, Drew enjoys the balance of organization and creativity that comes with bringing a project to life. Her business background brings a practical, detail-oriented perspective to the design process, supporting both the creative and organizational sides of each project. She values the care and intention behind Amelia Interiors’ full-service approach and enjoys contributing to the details that help each project feel personal, polished, and thoughtfully executed.
